Ian Bubb
Born in 1964 Ian is married with two children. He started work at the tender age of 16 and has therefore notched up 30 years in the profession. Ian qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1989 and became a fellow of the association in 1994. Over his many years in the profession Ian has dealt with a wide range of businesses from small sole traders to multi-million pound companies. He prides himself in bringing all his experience to the benefit of even the smallest of enterprises and believes he can relay the information required by clients in terms that they can easily understand.
Stuart Sherwin
Stuart started his working career with the Inland Revenue in Brighton in 1975 where he worked for six years. Marriage, and a relocation to Kent necessitated a career move in to accountancy. Between 1981 and 1993 Stuart worked for two prominent accountancy practices in Canterbury where he reached tax manager status in his last firm. The recession of the early 90's forced Stuart to look at other options and in August 1993 set up practice in Whitstable. A qualified Taxation Technician (ATT) Stuart has a strong knowledge of taxation and compliance matters, and together with his successive partners has developed and grown the practice over the past 25 years.
Gill Rushe
Gill commenced working with The Bubb Sherwin Partnership Ltd in November 2004 and is currently our accounts manager. She has worked in the accountancy profession since 1975 and obtained her accountancy qualifications during this time. Prior to joining the practice Gill took time out to obtain a degree in physics. Gill is responsible for the management of our accounts department and will regularly have contact with our clients while overseeing the work of the more junior members of staff.
Caroline Bubb
Caroline has been part of our team since 1999 when she covered maternity leave for the payroll department. Following the appointment of a new payroll assistant a couple of years later, Caroline moved to assist Stuart in the preparation of Tax Returns. Her tax career originally started in 1987 where she began working in the tax department of a national firm of accountants. Caroline is a qualified Tax Technician (ATT). Caroline is jolly lucky and happy to work part-time with us!
Ann Skinner
Ann has been working at The Bubb Sherwin Partnership Ltd since August 2007. Ann is part of our accountancy team and is principly responsible for preparation of VAT Returns and accounts.
Liz Sherwin
Liz is Stuart's wife, and has been an active member of our team since 1999. Her role is that of office administrator. She deals with all day to day administration a busy office generates. She is also fully conversant with the Construction Industry Scheme and is responsible for the preparation and filing of contractors monthly CIS Returns. She has also more recently taken over our credit control.
Elizabeth Elliott
Liz worked for us previously as a trainee accountant. She then qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant within a bigger practice in Canterbury. Following many years of accounting experience in practice and more recently industry, Liz decided that her preferred work option was to resume her practice career. Liz is now part of our busy accounts department and will be helping us develop our Sage accounting systems in readiness for Making Tax Digital.
Olivia Hunt
Olivia joined the firm in August 2017. Currently studying for her AAT, Olivia is primarily working in our busy tax department helping Stuart and Caroline to deal with the many different aspects of Tax, including the completion of Self Assessment Tax Returns, and the operation of Payroll and CIS.
Agnes Hyett
Agnes joined us towards the end of July 2019, and forms part of our busy accounts and VAT team.
Sandra Williams
As a result of our continued expansion within our payroll department, Sandra joined us in early August 2019 to become part of the payroll team.
Becky Tritton
Becky is our latest recruit joining us at the end of September 2019. Becky will be assisting us with bookkeeping and VAT Returns.
